San Cristobal: More Iguanas, More Lobos

Our next morning on San Cristobal dawned sunny but cooler.  It had rained during the night, which brought some relief from the previous day's heat.  We had a leisurely breakfast, with banana pancakes made for us by our most excellent Luis, along with fresh papayas and bananas from their yard.  We putzed around, then took a cab out to the beginning of the La Loberia beach.  We walked a mile or so to the beach entry.  There were lots and lots of marine iguanas, and a plethora of lobos, the colony for which the beach is named.  The water looked extremely invitting.  We'd neglected to bring our swim suits, but were tempted to jump in clothed.  Several people were snorkeling, and although the surf was up there weren't any surfers while we were there.

Coming back from the beach, we wandered through the town, checking out restaurants for the night's dinner.  The sea lions were spread all over the waterfront, splashing and barking.
